comIT's Voice Messaging Server - VMS - is the foundation to the comIT product suite. The VMS provides a means for users to create, share and distribute audio content in a reliable, auditable and efficient manner.

The VMS provides out of the box a range of solutions with a focus on key sectors and business needs as well as a means for Systems Integrators to take the VMS and embed it within applications.

VMS Capabilities

VMS

The core product is the automated calling suite comprising of Click2Drop and Click2Blast. The solution can be used in house to distribute management messages across the organisation. This provides the user the ability to create or utilise a library or audio recordings that they can distribute to their contacts in two core ways:

1. Click2Drop

The user can drop a message into a conversation at any point during a call or when they hit voicemail. The Click2Drop provides an ongoing track of all ongoing messages allowing the user to rejoin a call after the message has completed.

2. Click2Blast

Click2Blast is the most efficient means to distribute message(s) to a wide audience whether pre booked or on an ad hoc basis. The user simply selects the messages and the groups of contacts to target and at the press of a button the VMS will call and play the messages on answer. The user receives a full audit of the message success.

Click2Dial

In order to provide the VMS core capabilities comIT has invested heavily in providing the means to control a wide variety of telephony switches.

comIT can provide integrations with core Contact Management Solutions as well as dial applications on the desktop.

Reporting

VMS can provide a full audit trail of all messages that have been distributed to clients and colleagues. This can be used by the users and management for the purpose of audit, compliance and enhanced analytics.

The ability to target key contacts and groups of contacts with financial information and analyst reports in an efficient and compliant manner provides a clear ROI.

Bespoke Development

Utilising our own APIs comIT is set up to work with partners to create bespoke applications and integration of the VMS and click2dial capabilities. This could be embedding within in house solutions or customising workflows to the organisations requirements.

VMS Architecture

Software Solution

The VMS can be deployed as a software or a hardware solution running upon a hardened linux distribution. Telephony cards are required when interacting with legacy PBXs though SIP can be used for a full software package.

Scalability

The VMS is built in a modular manner in which usits can be clustered in order to extend the number of simultaneous messages that can be distributed at a time. This design makes it possible to build solutions for tens of thousands of calls the limit really is on the network and the ability to source enough connections to the PSTN.

Redundancy

In a similar vein to scalability users are connected to an available resource. If a resource for whatever reason is disrupted users will be able to access a subsequent resource. Any on going messages that have been terminated incomplete will be reported to the user for action.

Development

The VMS has been designed and developed in JAVA using standard reporting, testing and tracking packages to ensure a enterprise and indeed carrier grade solution is available.

APIS

Both JAVA and .NET APIs are avaiable to organisation to develop enhancements and interfaces to the VMS should they see fit. This can be done in house or in partnership with a third party integrator.

Applications

Information Distribution

The initial a key feature of the VMS is the means by which it extends a users ability to interact quickly with their client base. Email, IM, regular calling are all still means that a user will distibute trading ideas, pricing, market reports to their contacts. By adding the capabilities of Voice Drop and Voice Blast a user can look to improve the efficiency of the distribution as well as provide the clients with more options in terms of how they recieve the information. In a business where time is money VMS is certainly an option organisations and their clients should explore.

Business Continuity

Organisations will have sets of procedures set out in order to ensure Business Continuity across a wide range of potential issues. These will often include the manual calling through cascde lists of colleagues in a relativley un traceable manner. By implementing the VMS directly into the BCP plan organisations can distribute content to staff at the press of a button for any planned occurence. In addition ad hoc messages can be relayed in the case of un forseen circumstances. All messages can be tracked to ensure everyone has the knowledge that they require and their is no issue of out of date number lists constantly needing updating.

Morning Briefings

Managers and business analysts will often had a set of core messages that it is important to relay to their colleagues. Using the VMS messages can be relayed in a manner that the target audience can relate to and take in whether on the road or at the desk. In addition the same information can be re used if permitted to relay directly on to the client base.

Outsourcing

comIT is set up to take on full devlopment capabilities. We can build and integrate solutions as well as work as a part of a wider integration team as required,

API and Training

Alternatively the VMS has a well documented API that can be provided to third parties for their own use. Again comIT is well positioned to help train integrators as required.
